Pedal Assist Options

Each option has its pros and cons, so it’s up to you to decide which method best suits your needs. 

Engine Type 

Choosing a motor for your new e-bike is a little simpler. You’ll have your choice of a hub motor or mid-drive motor. Hub motors are often more affordable and easier to maintain, but clunky and large, making the e-bike a bit slower on average. Mid-drive motors can be pricey but are typically more convenient. They also come with handy drive cranks to help you tackle steep inclines.
