The History of the Company

Forest River was founded by Peter Liegl in Elkhart, Indiana, in 1996. He had years of experience working at Cobra Industries, an RV manufacturing company. Mr. Liegl acquired portions of that company and used them and his knowledge to manufacture the high-quality Forest River RVs we know today.
